State Senator Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) announced significant funding for key Capital Budget projects across Senate District 2 and Northwest Ohio. This announcement follows last week’s declaration of a $350 million investment by the Senate in Ohio communities from the One-Time Strategic Community Investment Fund.
"The Capital Budget funds upgrades and incredible new projects that serve our entire region and residents," Gavarone stated. "This investment into our cultural and recreational centers, mental health and personal safety services, and higher education to prepare our next generation for the jobs of tomorrow will continue to improve countless lives."

- Recreational Project at the Bowling Green Training and Community Center
- The Cocoon project for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence
- Seawall and River Edge Reconstruction Project
- Inclusive Multigenerational Community and Recreation Center (IMCRC)
- BGSU Semiconductor and Microfabrication Lab
- Harroun Barn Restoration/Preservation
- Owens Community College Robotics and PLC Lab Expansion (Perrysburg)
- Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion
- Toledo YWCA Domestic Shelter Project
- Walbridge Railway Park Improvements
- National Museum of the Great Lakes Second Wave Expansion
- TAPA - Toledo Center for the Performing Arts
- OhioGuidestone Youth and Family Resiliency Center
- Valentine Theater Renovations
- Collingwood Arts Center Upgrades

The Capital Budget also includes $600 million for new construction and facility upgrades at Ohio's public schools, as well as $575 million for local infrastructure projects such as roads, water, and sewer systems.
The legislature typically approves a Capital Budget every two years to fund necessary improvements to public services and facilities statewide, including schools, infrastructure, mental health, and addiction facilities.
