There were 428 third grade students enrolled in Defiance County schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.7% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Defiance Elementary School welcomed most of the third grade students in the county, registering 170 students.

Within Defiance County schools, the highest student count was found in 10th grade, with the smallest class sizes seen in pre-kindergarten.

Statewide, Defiance County ranked 58th in enrollment numbers, with a total of 5,772 students enrolled in the 2022-23 school year. It was ranked 59th the year before.
