State Rep. Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) revealed on Tuesday that over $2.9 million in funding has been allocated to various projects in Wood County, Ohio. The State Controlling Board, in its meeting on Monday, approved the allocation, which includes renovations at the Owens State Community College Perrysburg campus and road construction on State Route 281.
“These funds will not only enhance the learning environment for students at Owens but also make a significant investment in our infrastructure development here in Wood County,” Ghanbari stated.
The approved items for Wood County comprise $1,187,752.73 designated for roofing renovations on multiple buildings at the Perrysburg Campus of Owens State Community College, and $1,750,000 allocated to replace a structure on State Route 281 over Creps Ditch.
The announcement indicates a positive step towards improving educational facilities and infrastructure within Wood County. The next State Controlling Board meeting, where further decisions may be made, is scheduled for May 6, 2024.
