COLUMBUS – State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) shared exciting news about economic development projects in Wood County, Ohio. Two companies in the area have been awarded tax credit funding, setting the stage for local economic growth and job creation.
Ghanbari expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It is always great to see companies expand and thrive right here in our community. With the addition of 260 new jobs, investing in Wood County continues to be the best place to do business.”
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) played a pivotal role in this development by approving Job Creation Tax Credits for two companies. Vehtek Systems, Inc., received a 1.362%, 8-year tax credit to establish a new facility in Bowling Green. This move is projected to create 120 full-time positions and generate $5.9 million in new annual payroll. Vehtek Systems specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing automotive systems for original equipment manufacturers.
Similarly, Norplas Industries, Inc., secured a 1.329%, 8-year Job Creation Tax Credit for its new location in Rossford. The funding is expected to result in the creation of 140 full-time positions and $6.3 million in new annual payroll. Norplas focuses on designing and producing automotive systems for original equipment manufacturers.
These initiatives signal a promising future for Wood County, with significant job opportunities and economic growth on the horizon.
