FOIA Request to Defiance County Regarding Freedom of Information Act Logs from January to October 2024 on October 7, 2024.
As a team at NW Ohio Times, we have sent a request under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., for records from Defiance County. The requested records are specifically logs related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) sent to the county between January 1, 2024 and October 7, 2024.
The information sought includes fields such as the requester's name and organization, content of the request, date of the request and its completion date, as well as the status of the FOIA. This information is crucial in our role as journalists in holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
