A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to Williams County regarding vendor payments made during the year 2024. The request was sent on September 26, 2024.
The request was made by us at NW Ohio Times, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs. We are seeking records under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., specifically asking for an electronic format list of all payments made to vendors from January 1, 2024, until September 26, 2024.
The details we requested include the vendor's name, transaction date, description of the transaction, and the amount paid. As a media organization, we believe access to public records is crucial for our professional responsibilities. This includes holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
