FOIA Request to Henry County Regarding Vendor Payments from January 1, 2024, to September 26, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at NW Ohio Times have submitted a request for records under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., to Henry County. The request was sent on September 26, 2024.
We have asked for a list of all payments made to vendors during the period from January 1, 2024, till September 26, 2024. Specifically, we are seeking details including the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description and amount.
Our aim is to gather and report news that holds public institutions accountable and provides transparency to the public. Access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. As a media organization involved in disseminating information to the public, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals.
