State Rep. Haraz Ghanbari | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Haraz N. Ghanbari has expressed his support for the Ohio House voting to override Governor DeWine's veto of Substitute House Bill 68. In a statement released on Wednesday, Ghanbari stated, "Today, I proudly voted to override the Governor's veto of Substitute House Bill 68."
Ghanbari emphasized his previous support for bills such as the SAFE Act and Save Women's Sports Act, which aim to protect children and ensure fair competition in sports. He stated, "I previously voted for the SAFE Act and Save Women's Sports Act in June, supported it in December, and once again took a stand to protect our children and to also ensure that females can compete on a level playing field, not against biological males."
The Ohio House's decision to override the Governor's veto is seen as a significant step towards implementing these bills. Ghanbari expressed his optimism for the future, stating, "I am looking forward to the Senate following the House's lead."
The veto override will now be considered by the Ohio Senate.
