State Rep. Roy Klopfenstein | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) has announced the allocation of funding for three Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) NatureWorks Grants within the 82nd House District. The grants aim to support the acquisition, development, and rehabilitation of recreational areas in communities across the state.
The parks in the 82nd House District that will benefit from the grants include Hicksville Park, Four Seasons Park, and Stadium Park. Hicksville Park will receive $21,280 for the relocation of volleyball courts and the replacement of tennis court fencing in Hicksville, Ohio. Four Seasons Park in Kalida, Ohio, will be granted $20,504 for the installation of a wheelchair swing. Additionally, Stadium Park in Delphos, Ohio, will receive $19,560 for the installation of lights along walking trails.
Representative Klopfenstein expressed his enthusiasm about the park improvement projects, stating, "Park improvement projects throughout the district will allow everyone to enjoy our public recreational spaces."
The funding for the NatureWorks projects comes from the Ohio Parks and Natural Resources Bond Issue, which was approved by Ohio voters in November 1993. This initiative ensures that communities across the state have the necessary resources to enhance and maintain their recreational areas.
The NatureWorks Grants are a significant investment in the preservation and development of public parks and recreational spaces. These grants not only enhance the quality of life for residents but also attract tourists and visitors, contributing to the economic growth of the communities.
The funding allocated to the Hicksville Park, Four Seasons Park, and Stadium Park will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the local communities, providing improved amenities and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
