Congratulations goes to Officer Butcher for being selected as the 2022 Portage County CIT Officer-of-the-Year.Officer Butcher was honored for successfully de-escalating an intoxicated, suicidal man. Officer Butcher has excelled in these incidents for a long time. Although there are several incidents that Officer Butcher took part in during the year utilizing his CIT skills, he is also to be recognized for his overall ability in this area and his constant willingness to go the extra mile to help people.
This is the 3rd time he has received this honor!
