Paulding Police Department K-9 Finn

105e

The Paulding Police Department is pleased to announce the addition of K-9 Finn.  Finn was graciously donated to the Police Department and is the first ever K-9 here.  Finn, the offspring of K-9 Duke (Wayne Trace) is assigned to School Resource Officer Nate Trausch and will spend his days at Paulding Exempted Village Schools during the school year.  During the summer months, Finn will be working road patrol with his handler, Officer Trausch.  This summer Finn and Officer Trausch will be attending training where Finn will learn to sniff for drugs, track, and do article searches.  Finn has spent the past week at school getting use to walking the halls and meeting new people.  Finn has loved every minute of it as he gets unlimited pets and cuddles.  The Police Department and Officer Trausch are happy to have Finn joining our team and looking forward to all the benefits he brings to the Department and Paulding Exempted Village Schools.

The Police Department and Officer Trausch would like to thank those who have made donations to help make the K-9 unit possible.  If you or someone you know would like to donate to the new K-9 fund to help offset the cost of training, care, and equipment, please feel free to contact the Paulding Police Department's non-emergency line 419-399-3311 or speak with Officer Trausch when you see him and K-9 Finn out and about.
