Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray has released information regarding the indictment of 25 individuals charged with drug offenses related to their participation in a Criminal Enterprise that involved the distribution of large quantities of methamphetamine and other drugs in Northwest Ohio between September of 2021 and February of 2022. The Indictments were the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force with the Assistance of numerous other Agencies Including:
Defiance County Sheriff’s Office,
Defiance City Police Department,
Williams County Sheriff’s Office,
Bryan Police Department,
Williams County Probation Department,
Adult Parole Authority,
United States Postal Inspector’s Office/Cleveland Ohio,
Ohio Narcotic Investigative Center/Toledo/Columbus (ONIC),
Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office,
Williams County Prosecutor’s Office,
Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Toledo Office (ATF),
Drug Enforcement Agency/Columbus, and
Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
Task Force Commander Max A. Nofziger offered his acknowledgement and appreciation to those agencies, “I am pleased to see multiple law enforcement agencies coming together to better the communities that they serve. I am also extremely happy for the task force and the hard work that the agents put into this case. They did a very good job and I know that the agents are already preparing for future investigations.”
On Wednesday, April 20th several of those indicted were apprehended and brought before the Common Pleas Court for an Initial Appearance, including:
Birky, Weston M. (age 30) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree , and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Brandi, Derek J. (age 36) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree;
Gallant, Trevor J. (age 32) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Haidler, Sr., Christian J. (age 43) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Justinger, Kayleen K. (age 30) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Martinez, Joaquin, Jr. (age 37) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Oberlin, Scott E. (age 39) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree , and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Rittenhouse, Lucas (age 37) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Stiltner, Brandon M. (age 40) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Tipton, Zachary B. (age 41) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Tyler, Kyle (age 27) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree;
Watson, Victor L. (age 30) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree, and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree; and,
Woods, Dustin L. (age 41) Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, a Felony of the Second Degree , and Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (2 Counts), each a Felony of the Fourth Degree.
There are an additional twelve (12) individuals that have not yet been arrested, and warrants are outstanding. According to Prosecutor Murray, the ongoing investigation is likely to result in as many as ten additional individuals being indicted in connection with this enterprise.
